Who We Are

Our website address is:

Comments

When visitors leave comments on this site, we collect the information provided in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam.

An anonymized version of your email address (known as a hash) may be shared with the Gravatar service to check whether you have an account there. You can review Gravatar’s privacy policy for more details. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, we recommend avoiding images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as visitors can download and extract this data from any images on the site.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you can choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience, so you won’t need to re-enter these details when commenting again. These cookies remain active for one year.

When you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is automatically deleted once you close your browser.

Upon logging in, we also set several cookies to save your login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, while screen options cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login session will remain active for two weeks. Logging out of your account will remove all login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply records the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content, such as videos, images, or articles from other websites. This embedded content behaves just as if you had visited the source website directly.

These external websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking tools, and monitor your interactions with the embedded content — including tracking your activity if you’re logged into an account on that website.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How Long We Retain Your Data

When you leave a comment, both the comment and its associated metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve any follow-up comments, rather than holding them in a moderation queue.

For registered users on our website (if applicable), we also store the personal information provided in their user profile. Users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, with the exception of their username, which cannot be changed. Website administrators also have access to view and edit this information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported copy of the personal data we hold about you, including any information you’ve provided. You may also request that we delete any personal data we have on file. Please note this does not apply to data we’re required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be reviewed through an automated spam detection service.
